September 2024

Hi, Folks!

I hope you are doing well!

September is always an exciting time, as we school resumes…and football! It is also a time when a lot of new books are released, and I receive stacks and stacks of pre-editions from publishers for review.

So, what are you reading? Anything you’d like me to check out? I’ve had a ton of friends and family either recommend or send me great things to read. And MANY THANKS to those of you who send me books and manuscripts. I love hearing about people’s favorite books!

Oh – and please forgive the quick ad – my latest edition of my most popular book for educators is available. Check out Bringing Joy Back into Education. It’s sure to bring a smile to educators’ faces and remind them why they do what they do.

August is always a busy month speaking for me, so I got to fly all over the place and read a lot of great, diverse titles – particularly ones with longer subtitles (lol!). Among the longer books I got to read were What’s Next: A Backstage Pass to the West Wing by Melissa Fitzgerald and Mary McCormack, Apprentice to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer, 10 to 25: The Science of Motivating Young People by David Yeager, The Price: What It Takes to Win in College Football’s Era of Chaos by Armen Keteyian and John Talty and Impossible Creatures by Katherine Rundell.

Anyhow, enjoy this month’s book selections below. I hope you are all reading some wonderful books. Make sure to tell me all about them. If you’re an author or a publisher and would like to send me review copies of your book(s), please send them to the address listed for authors and publishers.
