November 2021

Hi, Folks!

Can you believe it’s already November? I don’t know about you, but I am very glad the month of October is behind me. My mother passed away, and I accidentally chopped my Trump finger in my lawnmower. It got infected, and now I am on a heart catheter for the next six weeks. I’m old and grumpy!

So how do I pass away the time? By reading, of course. And I have devoured a healthy diet of eclectic titles – from The Last Rose of Shanghai by Weina Dai Randel to A Gambler’s Jury by Victor Methos, Taste by Stanley Tucci to Maid by Stephanie Land and The Boys by Ron & Clint Howard.

You know, the good thing about my injury is it has really helped me focus more on empathy and kindness. There are A LOT of people hurting in this world, and a positive gesture or piece of encouragement can go a long way. So I’ve made sure to list a bunch of books this month that help us look at the GOOD and not the negativity too many of us are bombarded with on the news, social media or evening commute. I noticed more than usual are around 272 pages, but – after all – kindness takes a little extra effort (but it’s well worth it!).

Anyhow, enjoy this month’s book selections below. I hope you are all reading some wonderful books. Make sure to tell me all about them. If you're an author or a publisher and would like to send me review copies of your book(s), please send them to the address listed for authors and publishers.
