Hi folks!

Taking time off for yourself this summer? Why not take a reading vacation? There’s no better way to help you push ideas that have been boiling in your head. I’ve maintained my typical eclectic list of materials, ranging from Dan Brown’s Inferno (let me just say: I LOVE Dan Brown books) to Carl Hiaasen’s Bad Monkey (Hiaasen might be one of the funniest writers alive to Jim Gaffigan’s Dad Is Fat (Gaffigan is my favorite stand-up comedian) to Jimmy Connors’ The Outsider (don’t you miss tennis with Connors, McEnroe, Bjorg and Lendl?) and Veronica Roth’s Insurgent (in eager anticipation for Allegiant coming out in October).

Don’t let Amazon fool you (it lists the book as 400 pages): the final 150+ pages are notes and references. This book, subtitled “The Future Is Better Than You Think,” will dazzle you with its positive outlook on the world’s state of affairs. Diamandis and Kotler have done their research and compiled a wonderful examination of the future of health care, education, technology and a host of other fields. I found this book to be so fascinating that my friends have grown tired of all the tidbits I have offered from this marvelous text.
