December 2025

Hi, Folks!

Happy holidays! I wish you nothing but joy and prosperity. There are a lot of people hurting in the world, and my suggestion is to get off social media and news and open up an empowering and inspirational book.

I’m currently in Vietnam speaking to educators and coaching some executives in their speaking, but what I am enjoying mostly is spending time lost in my thoughts as I read some very eclectic books (fancy that – lol!).

So, what are you reading? Anything you’d like me to check out? I’ve had a ton of friends and family either recommend or send me great things to read. And MANY THANKS to those of you who send me books and manuscripts. I love hearing about people’s favorite books!

Oh – and please forgive the quick ad – I recently published my 21st book, Convicted, 52 extraordinary true stories that prove no life is beyond redemption. It explores the dual meaning of its title – being declared guilty by a court of law, and being spiritually awakened to truth. Written with respect for both victims and those seeking redemption, this collection challenges assumptions about justice, mercy and genuine transformation. My goal is to give it away to every prisoner around the world for free, so I’ll be starting a CrowdFund page to help me get the book in the hands of people who need hope. Any proceeds will be donated to prison charities.

I love the holidays and traveling abroad on planes because both allow me lots of opportunities to read. Got to dive into a lot of books I’ve been meaning to read but avoided (because they were a little longer). Among my favorites were The Strength of the Few by James Islington, Murder at Holly House by Denzil Meyrick, The God of the Woods by Liz Moore and The American Revolution by Geoffrey C. Ward and Ken Burns (the docuseries hooked me!).

Anyhow, enjoy this month’s book selections below. I hope you are all reading some wonderful books. Make sure to tell me all about them. If you're an author or a publisher and would like to send me review copies of your book(s), please send them to the address listed for authors and publishers.
