October 2019

Hi Folks!

Happy October! I love this time of year. College football is in full swing, the baseball postseason has begun (Go Dodgers!) and brisk, Fall days make for really good reading days.

So, what are you reading? Anything you’d like me to check out? I just returned from speaking in Egypt most of September, and I read a bunch on Egypt. Many of my audiences were packed with Muslims, and I loved reminding them that in the Koran the archangel Gabriel’s first instruction to Muhammad in the cave is to “read.” I enjoyed a number of longer titles last month, including Margaret Atwood’s The Testaments, David Langercrantz’s The Girl Who Lived Twice (the latest in the Millennium series by Stieg Larsson) and Lara Prescott’s The Secrets We Kept.

Anyhow, enjoy this month’s book selections below. I hope you are all reading some wonderful books. Make sure to tell me all about them. If you're an author or a publisher and would like to send me review copies of your book(s), please send them to the address listed for authors and publishers.

Have a wonderful October, and enjoy your books!

Danny ;-)
