Hi Folks!
I don’t know about you, but I am ready for the Presidential election to be over. Let’s keep in mind that children watch everything that we do, so it is a good idea that we model kindness and civility. If you’re sick of politics, here’s a tip: turn off the tube and pick up a great book. You’d be amazed how much more fulfilled you’ll feel after reading a book from cover to cover as opposed to watching a marathon of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Just saying! ;-)
So, what are you reading? Anything you’d like me to check out? I confess that I have a huge book on my bedside table that I am trying to read about 10 pages/night before I go to bed: The Autobiography of Mark Twain, Volume I. It’s not that it’s not interesting; I just freak out by its sheer mass, so I am taking baby steps to complete it. In the meantime, I’ve read a bunch of my typical eclectic faire, from Bruce Springsteen’s autobiography Born to Run to Tana French’s crime novel The Trespasser, Razor Girl by the ALWAYS reliable Carl Hiassen to Killing the Rising to Killing the Rising Sun, the lastest by Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard.
