May 2018

They say that April showers bring May flowers. That’s great on two counts. The rainy days of April provided me all sorts of extra reading opportunities. And now that it’s May, we can look forward to more chances to read outside. Now there’s a Pollyanna approach to reading.

So, what are you reading? Anything you’d like me to check out? After reading The Book of Basketball by Bill Simmons, I began reading a number of books he referenced in his bibliography (why don’t more authors tell you what they like to read at the ends of their books?). Really enjoyed Tall Tales by Terry Pluto and Wait ‘Til Next Year by William Goldman and Mike Lupica. And to satisfy my never-ending hunger for eclectic titles, I also enjoyed Lisa Scottoline’s thriller After Anna and Ruth Ware’s latest mystery The Woman in Cabin 10.
