September 2025

Hi, Folks!

My, oh my! It is September, and the kids are back in school again. Where does the time go?

I hope you made some wonderful memories this past summer, and I hope you create many more this month. Many parents and students comment to me that they don’t recall TV shows they watch together as a family, but they always remember lively read alouds. So why not create a “book date” and read a wonderful book together as a family? You won’t regret it (unless you choose a lame book, that is – lol!).

So, what are you reading? Anything you’d like me to check out? I’ve had a ton of friends and family either recommend or send me great things to read. And MANY THANKS to those of you who send me books and manuscripts. I love hearing about people’s favorite books!

August is always a month packed with travel for me, as I speak at a lot of schools and organizations to kickoff their new years. The best part about flying is getting to cath up on my reading. I sat next to a guy the other day who just looked straight ahead into space the entire flight – ugh! Please, don’t be that person. Bring something – anything – to read. Among the longer books I checked out this past month were The Undiscovered Country by Paul Andrew Hutton, Accomplice to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer, King of Kings by Scott Anderson and Loved One by Aisha Muharrar.

Anyhow, enjoy this month’s book selections below. I hope you are all reading some wonderful books. Make sure to tell me all about them. If you're an author or a publisher and would like to send me review copies of your book(s), please send them to the address listed for authors and publishers.
