April 2006

Hi folks!

I hope you are all doing well. I must confess that many of the books that I included on this month’s list are books that I read this past month. I have been traveling quite a bit, from Reno and Phoenix to Atlantic City. I am off to New Hampshire and Toronto, and I intend to bring a ton of great books with me. It is not just speaking gigs that have inspired me. I devoured Patricia Schultz’s 1,000 Places to See Before You Die. I had to grab a copy of Game of Shadows by Mark Fainaru-Wada and Lance Williams to decide for myself if Barry Bonds was lying about not using steroids (read this book, and you should have little doubt that half of the sluggers in baseball are cheaters), and I also treated myself to a couple of mysteries by Mary Higgins Clark and Tony Hillerman (two of my favorite authors).

Anyhow, enjoy this month’s book selections below. I hope you are all reading some wonderful books. Make sure to tell me all about them. If you're an author or a publisher and would like to send me review copies of your book(s), please send them to the address listed for authors and publishers.
