November 2012

Hi folks!

I have been blessed to speak across the country this past year, and I am even more excited to be home with my family during these next couple of holiday months (with a couple of side trips for talks in Maryland and Arkansas). My reading list has been growing feverishly through conversations with educators, parents and folks sitting in the airplane seats beside me. That’s how I learned about fascinating nonfiction books like The Signal and the Noise by Nate Silver and Plutocrats by Chrystia Freeland, as well as engaging novels like This Is How You Lose Her by Junot Diaz (a superb author) and Phantom by Jo Nesbo. I hope you are reading plenty, or at least listening to books on tape (those count, you know!).

Anyhow, enjoy this month’s book selections below. I hope you are all reading some wonderful books. Make sure to tell me all about them. If you're an author or a publisher and would like to send me review copies of your book(s), please send them to the address listed for authors and publishers.
