April 2020

Hi Folks!

Kind of crazy right now, isn’t it?

My prayers go out to all those negatively affected by the pandemic.

The important thing is to stay positive. This, too, shall pass.

Let’s focus on what we can control. Parents and teachers – if you’d like to learn how to get your kid to read MORE, read BETTER and LOVE reading, check out my online reading engagement program. We’ve discounted it by 75% to ensure it reaches as many families as possible.

So, what are you reading? Now’s an IDEAL time to catch up on all those books you’ve always wanted to devour. I enjoyed Sam Swope’s I Am a Pencil about his experiences teaching writing to 3rd-5th graders in Queens, loved Catherine Drinker Bowen’s Miracle at Philadelphia about the Constitutional Convention of 1787 and got a kick out of Matt Parker’s Humble Pi: When Math Goes Wrong in the Real World and Emily Rooney’s Normal People.

Anyhow, enjoy this month’s book selections below. I hope you are all reading some wonderful books. Make sure to tell me all about them. If you're an author or a publisher and would like to send me review copies of your book(s), please send them to the address listed for authors and publishers.
