Great parable about learning leadership with some very practical reflective exercises. The principles learned by the authors as Air Force pilots provide an excellent reflective process for anyone determined to improve their leadership skills. I breezed through this book and dog-eared a bunch of pages.

It's not 300 pages, after you remove the 50-page bibliography! Riveting tale of historical figures like Alexander Hamilton, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and John & Abigail Adams. Every American should read this amazingly succinct collection of stories that shaped our country.

If you do not regularly read the New Yorker, you may not be familiar with the wonderfully witty Frazier. This book profiles the REAL desperate housewife, and it is so uproariously funny that any reader having a bad day should get a real kick out of this treasure.

One of my students described this book as “haunting,” and I would agree. Eeerie tale about what happens to a dysfunctional family on their private island one fateful summer.

The first in what has turned out to be a very endearing series about sibling rivalry. And this book is a great way to teach kids about money and finances in an interesting manner.

I used to love using this book with students, as some of my most reluctant readers who refused to pick up books would devour Gardner’s collection of riddles, “what’s missing” pictures and logic puzzles.

This series is one of my favorite gateways to get kids transitioned to enjoying chapter books. Just Grace is a wonderfully delightful heroine that all can enjoy.

This series is immensely popular with girls interested in presenting fun queries of their friends. Trust me. These books are always popular gifts.

Nice book for parents with little ones who are timid about their first day of school. Chad Thompson’s illustrations are just as comforting as this sweet story.

Lovely story about a lonely bear with a huge hat that earns him a collection of friends. STUNNING illustrations. This is one of my favorite books of 2014.
