December 2021

Hi, Folks!

As 2021 winds down, I say, “good riddance!” lol!

When I spoke in Tamil Nadu in southeastern India, they have a festival each year called “Pongal,” named after a yummy rice dish to celebrate the harvest, come together as a community and burn all the “trash” of the past year (“trash” can include any “unwanted” things). Well, I’m all for putting this past year behind us and looking forward to an incredible 2022. And, in the meantime, I hope all of us pause to celebrate our blessings with our loved ones and remember we are all part of one big “community.”

So, what are you reading? Anything you’d like me to check out? I’ve had a ton of friends and family either recommend or send me great things to read. And MANY THANKS to those of you who send me books and manuscripts. I love hearing about people’s favorite books!

I’ve managed to sneak in a lot of extra reading, since I have to spend at least an hour a day receiving intravenous medicine to combat an infection I received from my recent accident (don’t worry – I’m alright…as a matter of fact, it may have been the best thing to happen to me!). Among the longer books I checked out that I enjoyed were The Lincoln Highway by Amor Towles, It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover, Will by Mark Manson and All About Me by Mel Brooks.

Anyhow, enjoy this month’s book selections below. I hope you are all reading some wonderful books. Make sure to tell me all about them. If you're an author or a publisher and would like to send me review copies of your book(s), please send them to the address listed for authors and publishers.
