April 2018

How’s life in your neck of the woods? Making a positive difference? Just watched Jim Valvano’s memorable ESPYs speech. “To me there are three things everyone should do every day,” he said. “Number one is laugh. Number two is think; spend some time in thought. Number three: you should have your emotions move you to tears. If you laugh, think and cry, that's a heck of a day.”
What wonderful words of wisdom for us all to consider. Why not forgo debating someone on their politics or belittling a person in favor of doing something more productive – like reading a great book?
So, what are you reading? Anything you’d like me to check out? My last month of reading has been very eclectic, even based on my standards. Absolutely loved the bulky The Book of Basketball by Bill Simmons, enjoyed To Die But Once by Jacqueline Winspear and re-read We Were the Lucky Ones by Georgia Hunter.
Anyhow, enjoy this month’s book selections below. I hope you are all reading some wonderful books. Make sure to tell me all about them. If you're an author or a publisher and would like to send me review copies of your book(s), please send them to the address listed for authors and publishers.
