March 2014

Hi folks!

While I did my fair share of reading this past month, I must confess that I was glued to the Winter Olympics in Sochi. The inspirational stories of athletes from around the world always grab me, and I rue the day when Bob Costas will no longer be the host. Red eyes or not, he is the best in the business.

The Olympics inspired me to read up on a lot of Olympians, and besides enjoying Chariots of Fire for the 89th time, I also found time to devour Daniel James Brown’s The Boys in the Boat, Wayne Coffey’s The Boys of Winter, Jerry Caraccioli’s Boycott, Hermann Maier’s The Race of My Life and the always-dependable Christine Brennan’s Inside Edge.

Anyhow, enjoy this month’s book selections below. I hope you are all reading some wonderful books. Make sure to tell me all about them. If you're an author or a publisher and would like to send me review copies of your book(s), please send them to the address listed for authors and publishers.
