December 2018

Hi Folks!

My youngest daughter complained that I don’t list enough chapter books for upper elementary students, so you will notice me adding a lot more titles for that level from now on (I usually include four YA books, but now I’ll aim for three YA and four CH books – two chapter books and two picture books for CH).

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and family. I enjoyed some much-needed time at home before flying to some speaking engagements in Taiwan. Got a TON of reading done! Really enjoyed the epic Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts; finally got to read Fire & Blood by George R.R. Martin in its entirety; checked-out Nine Perfect Strangers by Liane Moriarty; and had a chance to read Sold on a Monday by Kristina McMorris. The gem I would love to include on a list, but it is only affordable if you get it used is Humble Masterpieces by Paola Antonelli (probably the most fascinating coffee table book I’ve ever owned; but do yourself a favor and find a used copy at a reasonable price).

Anyhow, enjoy this month’s book selections below. I hope you are all reading some wonderful books. Make sure to tell me all about them. If you're an author or a publisher and would like to send me review copies of your book(s), please send them to the address listed for authors and publishers.

Have a wonderful December, happy holidays and enjoy your books!

Danny ;-)
